What we don't know

THE SECRET THINGS ARE THE ONES THAT WE DO NOT KNOW.
The moment we know the details of the mater, it is no longer a secret !!!.
Therefore how do we know the things about which we do not have much information. In olden days , people had to ask others and information was transmitted by oral method. But in the present age, it is so easy to get information instantly.With the minimum effort, maximum knowledge can be acquired.
So much is available in book form, in the internet. The only problem is that nobody has the patience or the time to venture into the pilgrimage of seeking scientific knowledge, spiritual knowledge etc.
Our priorities determines the  our use of time, energy and resources. And the priorities vary from person to person, their pursuit also varies.

What appears to be secret for one is an ordinary thing for another person. The theories or medicines or the natural phenomena is well explained in one culture, but may be entirely hidden knowledge for another culture. When we read the scriptures or the vedas, things which appeared to be miracle is made revealed and explained and varified in our present time. Even though they loose their mysterial nature, they are quite enjoyable and useful. Once these become familiar,  we loose the wonder about them !!! Most often we take them for granted and neglect them !! This happens in our dealings with our own children, our marriage life, and our carrier life or professional life. No wonder very few people have the ability to admire the sunrise or the beauty of lakes and mountains, the various systems of our body and their meticulate functioning !!! THE MOMENT WE HAVE A HEADACHE OR CANCER OR HEART ATTACK, WE SUDDENLY COME TO THE AWARENESS OF OUR BODY AND OF OUR VERY EXISTENCE ON EARTH AND OF OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHERS .What Prompt us to come to this sensitivity and sudden appreciation of the most mundane things in life. When we come to know that we can never buy with money or power or influence what we had taken so long as rubbish or unimportant becomes golden and precious matters. For this we  had nobody's advice, no body's preaching or counseling. Our own inner being becomes alive and we are listening to that inner small voice which was trampled upon so long, it was hanging on in , as a spark in the heart. Who maintained that spark for so long without even our consent or our asking ? That is the " Divine Spark " which the Spirit of God kept alive, that longing heart of our Creator whose yearning for us so great and who will not leave us even when we mistreat and trample and quench that. Such great love we cannot find anywhere. What shall we call that ? Can we understand that ? Whether we understand or acknowledge , it is like our mothers and fathers love. No matter what is the attitude of the children, they always love us.

GOLDEN ELIXIR

Golden Elixir is another name for

There is no other Golden Elixir outside

It is entirely realised in everybody

It is neither more in a sage

Nor less in an ordinary person

It is the seed of Immortals and Buddhas

      " The Lord has been witness between you and the wife of your youth,
with whom you have dealt treacherously ;
"  yet she is your companion
and your wife by covenant. But did He not make them one,
Having a remnant of the spirit ?
and why one ?
He seeks godly offspring.
Therefore take heed of your spirit,
And let none deal treacherously with  with the wife of your youth.
For the Lord God of Israel says that He hates divorce,
For it covers one's garment with violence "
says the Lord of Hosts. "Therfore take heed to your spirit,
that you do not treat trecherously ."
                                     Malachi 2:14-16

How much importance is given to the family ! It the the Lord's Holy Institution which He loves.
( Malachi 2:11 )
CHILDREN'S CHILDREN ARE THE CROWN OF OLD MEN ,
AND THE GLORY OF THE CHILDREN IS THEIR FATHER.  Proverb 17:6
Therefore the glory of each generation is passed to the next generation and each one take pride in
the previous as well as the next generation .

                  WISE WOMAN

Who can find a virtuous wife ?
For her worth is above rubies.

The heart of her husband safely trust her;
so he will have no lack of gain.
She does him good and not evil
All the days of her life.She seeks wool and flax
And willingly work with her hands.
She is like the merchant ships
She brings food from afar.
She also rises while it is yet night,
And provides food for the household,
And a portion for her maid servants,
She considers a field and buys it,
From her profit she plants a vineyard
She girds herself with strenght
And strengthens her arms


Surely the Lord God does nothing,
unless He reveals His secret to His servants the  prophets.   Hosea 3:7
This is the reason that we must search the Bible to know what is the revealed secrets or mysteries.

THE SECRET THINGS

                 1.         IMPORTANCE   OF   SCRIPTUIRE


The secret things belongs to the Lord our God , but those things which are revealed belong to us and our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law. Deuteronomy 29:29.
The revelation is through the prophets and priests and saints. 2 Chronicle 20:20 "Believe in the
Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets , and you shall prosper.
So how will we know who is the right one? "When a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not come to pass, that is the thing that the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken presumptuously; you shall no t be afraid of him." Deuteronomy 18:22

The remarkable thing is that the reminders of these revelations are sent to the people again and again through the prophets and priest, lest the people forget them and go astray.  There were reading of the
law regularly. " When  the people gathered together as one man,  the priest or the scribe bring the Book of Law and it is read before before the men and women and those who could understand ; and the ears were attentive to the Book of Law. They read  distinctly from the Book and they gave sense and helped them to understand the reading. The people rejoiced. Nehemiah 8 . How important it is to search the scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life..... John 5:37-47

In the parable of the rich man and Lazarus,  Father Abraham tells the rich man that it is enough that his five brothers  obey  Moses and the prophets.  It will be better  than sending Lazarus on a mission to preach to his brothers. Luke 16 :19-31 ( Who is going to listen to that begger who was sitting outside the gate )

The revelation  is important that we are admonished  in Isaiah 34:16 in this way,
" Search  from the Book   of the Lord:
Not one of them shall fall;
not one shall lack her mate,
For My mouth has commanded it
and His Spirit has gathered them."

Whatever was prophesied is being fulfilled. That is,  all that   My mouth commanded and that which His Spirit gathered  has his  mate , the match for proclamation is accomplished in the actual  fulfilment. The mystery of God would be finished , as He declared to His servants the prophets."
Revelation 10 :7

In olden times when literacy rate  was low, they had to read it loud. Now due to compulsory education, all people can read and understand themselves,  so much so, it will be written on the tablets of our heart. ( wonder how it will be in the war torn areas )
And they can recall all the correct things from their mind. Actually , in childhood itself we all know what is right and what is wrong, what is beneficial and what is detrimental.  The problem is that we do what we are supposed not to do and omit what we are expected to do. Does the mind obey the
heart or the heart listen to  the mind .Or  do we think wisely and perform with discernment.





3.                  THE GREATEST COMMANDMENT

Mathew 22:36-40
 Mark 12:28-34

" Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?
Jesus said,to him,  " You shall love the Lord , your God,
with all your heart,
with all your soul,
and with all your mind ."
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like it, " you shall love your neighbour as yourself."
" On these two commandments hang all the Law  and the Prophets."

When the heart, soul and mind is full of divine qualities and characteristics and virtues, there is no place left for strife , jealousy, wickedness, hatred and cruelty !!!!  Therefore we should know the true nature of our God whom we worship. The scripture reveals the characteristics of God who created the universe and everything in it including the human race. But if you believe in the evolution from Amoeba then there is nothing to claim as valuable from our heritage !!!! When we are aware of our origin and ancestry, then only we can take pride in our heritage and we have a foundation upon which to build our life. The God of my father, the  God of my ancestors, is ONE upon whom we can trust for constant assistance and blessing and support, we can build our life on firm solid grounds.
Our  history of help received in the past , support our future life because the help of the everlasting arms never fail.


4.   RESPONSIBILITIES TOWARDS NEIGHBOURS

Romans 13:8-14


Owe n o one anything except to love one another,
for he who loves another has fulfilled the Law.
( You have been called to liberty;
only do not use liberty as an opportunity for  the flesh, but through love one another.
For  all the law is fulfilled in one word, even this, " you shall love your neighbour as yourself. "
But if you bite and devour one another , beware lest you be consumed by one another !!
Galatians 5:13,14,16 )
For the commands ,
" You shall not commit adultry" you shall not murder "
" you shall not steal "
" you shall not bear false witness ' " you shall not covet " and if there is any other commandment,
all are summed up in this saying, namely ."you shall love your neighbour as yourself."

Love does not do harm to a neighbour;
therefore love is the fulfilment of the law. -

Let us walk properly as in the day,
not in revelry and drunkenness,
not in licentiousness  and lewdness,
not in strife and envy.


5. Romas 13:1-7

Let every soul e subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God and authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever  resist  the authority  resist the ordinance of God and those who resist will bring judgement upon themselves.
For rulers are not a terror to good works.
Do you want to be unafraid of authority ?
Do good and you will have praise from the same.
For he is God's minister to you for good.
But if you do evil, be afraid.for he does not bear the sword in vain;
for he is GOD'S MINISTER,
an avenger to execute wrath on him who practice evil.

Therefor you must be subject,  not only because of wrath, but also for conscience sake.
For because of this we pay taxes, for they are God's ministers attending continually for this very thing.

Render therefore to all their due;
taxes to whom taxes are due;
customs to whom customs,
fear to whom fear;
honour to whom honour.


6. Romans 12:1,2.
I beseech you therefore brotheren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable  to God,  which is your reasonable service.

-  AND DO NOT BE CONFORMED TO THEIS WORLD,

-  BUT BE TRANSFORMED
-   BY THE RENEWING OF YOUR MIND,
-   THAT YOU MAY PROVE
-   WHAT IS THAT GOOD AND
-   ACCEPTABLE  AND
-   PERFECT WILL OF GOD.

Here how to keep our body and mind is described.
For sacrifices and offerings, we bring only the excellent and best available to the temples, churches and mosques and all worshipping places. We know that the Presence of God is there.. More important is that we have the indwelling presence of God in us !!! always guiding and leading us in the correct path. Even when do something bad, we know that we are doing something wrong. Because
 the Eternal Spirit of God , the still small voice in our mind and heart constantly reminds us  the correct way we should proceed.  Are we willing to listen to it.

Therefore
the most reasonable service is to keep our body and mind clean and pure where   Presence of God will be noticed by others.  How do we instantly recognise the saints and godly men and women ? There is something in them that reveals the Presence of God in them.  Like the fragrance of the flowers or perfumes  or the stench of the rotten things  , it is quite obvious and self manifesting.

For the renewal of mind,
we must know  what is good, acceptable and the perfect will of God . Only then we can be firm on what is right and practice that. Otherwise we will be conforming to the ways of the evil and flow with the current which is powerful at that moment. Only firm foundation can stand  keep us from falling.
Sometimes people are confined to prisons, rehabilitation centers for delinquents for renewal of mind
and character. But do these centres really transform them to be better citizens and individuals useful for family and society.  The goals and aims for the foundation determines the activities  and programmes  formulated there. The method of implementations is crucial. Unless  put into practice with emphasis on the pride and personality of the people there, they can rebel, but genuine care and motivation can uplift them to a high level which even they themselves never imagined. Therefore the instructors as well as the courses are  to be chosen carefully.


7.  Romas 12:  18,19,20,21

If it possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.
Beloved, do not avenge yourselves,
but rather give place to wrath, for it is written,
" Vengeance is mine, I will repay.", says the Lord.
Therefore if your enemy hungers, feed him,
If he thirst, give him a drink,
for in so doing you will heap coal of fire in his head."
Do not be overcome by evil, overcome evil with good.

If we know the vengeance  of God we will be really surprised.
"When justice is turned back and
and righteousness stands afar off,
for truth is fallen in the street
and equity cannot enter.
So truth fails,
and he who depart from evil makes himself a prey,
Then the Lord saw it , and it displeased Him;
that there there was no justice.
He saw there was no man, and wondered there was no intercessor;
Therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him;
And His own righteousness , it sustained Him.
For He put on righteousness as breast plate,
and a helmet of salvation on His head;
and He put on garments of vengeance  for clothing,
and was clad with zeal as a clock. " Isaiah 59: 14-17
Here the weapons are not sword or spear or nuclear arsenal, but  through intercessory prayers, God Himself execute justice through righteousness..
"For He said , surely they are My people,
children who will not lie,
So He became their Savior.
In all their affliction, He was afflicted.
and the Angel of His Presence saved them. " Isaiah 63:8,9
The description of how He saves is remarkable. " Behold, the Lord shall come with a strong hand,
and His arm shall rule for Him,
Behold , His reward is with Him,
and His work before Him.He will feed the flock like a shepherd;
He will gather the lambs   with His arm,
and carry them in His bosom,
and gently lead those who are with the young."
THE TENDERNESS WITH WHICH HE  leads the people. Even parents don't have this much patience and affection.  ( Isaiah 40:10,11 )



8             HOW TO TREAT ENEMY

Proverb 25:21,22
  IF YOUR ENEMY IS HUNGRY, GIVE HIM BREAD TO EAT;
and if he thirsty, give him water to drink;
For so you will heap coal of fire on his head,
and the Lord will reward you."

Proverb  24:17,18
Do not rejoice when your enemy falls,and do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles;
Lest the Lord see it, and it displeases Him, and turn away His wrath from .

Proverb  20:22 Do not say, ' I will recompense evil"
wait for the Lord and He will save you.

OBADIAH 12

Romans 12: 14  Bless those who persecute you;
bless and do not curse.
This is the same thing that Prophet Jeremiah says in Jeremiah 29:7
Seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away  captive , and pray to the Lord for it; for in its peace you have peace. How much we care for the countries you have gone for employment, studies, for medical treatment etc. THE PEACE OF THE SOCIETY IS YOUR PEACE AND YOUR PEACE IS THE PEACE OF THE SOCIETY. If we conspire against it, we are conspiring against ourselves !!! If we cause any trouble, we are troubling ourselves. Then our children cannot go to school peaceably, we cannot commute to offices safely and work diligently, we cannot have proper medical attention, important factory works cannot be carried out which causes negatively the prosperity of the country and ultimately all these causes disharmony in society.

Romans 12:17 Repay no evil for evil.Have regards for good things in the sight of all men.
Romans 21:21 Do not overcome by evil,
but overcome evil with good.
In the beginning others may think that we are foolish, but they will soon recognise that we mean only good for them and they will co operate to achieve the same goal.

"The kingdom of God is not in word but in power." 1 Corinthians 4:21
When the unction or the anointing of the Spirit of God is with us,  it is God's power that works in and through us.
 1 Corinthians 2:4  Paul experienced this  and acknowledged the  same when he writes "  my speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and the power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God."
This is the reason why some sermons and speeches touch our heart even though they are in simple language and presented in a very homely manner. They have such deep impressions that  the passage of time do not diminish the freshness and fragrance of the message.













 



 










































 

                  2.      FOOD     -        VEGETARIAN OR NON VEGETARIAN

 Romans 14 , The Bible

Different nations, communities, religious groups, ethnic groups observe different traditions. We respect them as long as they don't interfere with us and our peaceful existence together.
Live and let live is our fundamental right.
 Let us see what the Bible says:
Receive one who is weak in faith, but not to disputes over  doubtful things. For one believes  he may eat all things , but he who is weak eats only  vegetables.
Let not him  who eats despise him who does not eat
and let not him who does not eat judge him who eat,
for God has received him.
Who are you to judge another's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed he will be made to stand,
for God is able to make him stand.

One person esteems one day above another; another esteems everyday alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. He who observes one day , observes it to the Lord, and he who does not observe the day , to the Lord he does not observe it;
He who eats, eats to the Lord , for he give thanks to God
and he who does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat and gives God thanks. ( like fasting or abstaining from certain food )

For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself.. For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die , we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lords. For to this end
Christ died and rose again that He might be the Lord of the dead and the living.

But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother ? For he shall stand before the judgement seat of Christ. Then each shall give account of himself to God. Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brothers way. I know and am convinced by the Lord Jesus that there is nothing unclean of itself; but to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.------Therefore do not let your good be spoken of as evil ; for the kingdom of God is not food and drink,
but righteousness and peace and joy in the Eternal  Spirit of God.  For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved  by men. Therefore let us pursue the thing which make for peace and the things by which  one may edify another. Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food.
It is good neither to eat meat or drink wine nor do anything by which your brother  stumbles or
is offended or made weak. Do you have faith , Have it to yourself before God . Happy is he who does not condemn himself  in what he approves. ( when we do  certain things to show our approval or disapproval  of our beliefs and that makes controversial ripples in society,  others will condemn us and we ourselves will feel offended and discouraged.  Therefore when we confirm and demonstrate our beliefs,  will others be benefited by it or will it bring it offence and distress. )
